The property of the Boüard de Laforest family for eight generations, the château is a First Growth wine, one of the finest in the world. In order to reflect this reputation for excellence, the owners were determined to restore their wine-making premises maintaining the highest quality possible. We constructed a bell-tower to house the 18 bells specially founded by the PACCARD foundry. It was inspired by the bell tower in Perpignan, dating from 1745, and has been engineered to fulfil strict building standards as well as rigorous aesthetic criteria. The structure weighs 9 tons and is 8.50 metres high. Five craftsmen worked for 5 months to forge the structure, finally putting it in place once the grapes had been harvested.
