The HOTEL DE MAYENNE is one of the oldest aristocratic palaces in the Marais neighbourhood in Paris, dating from the XVI century. A vast restoration project which took over more than 2 years to complete: today, the house has recovered all its prestige and former glory. All the façades of what is now a teaching establishment – the “école des Franc-bourgeois” – have been restored. Amongst other retro-fittings, new balustrades have been installed, and existing ones restored, to mirror exactly those of the past, as have handrails, railings and gates.
