The Saint Flour Rose Window

The history of the Grain Hall (the Saint Flour Rose Window, Church of Notre Dame) goes back to the period of late Gothic (XIV and XV centuries) and is closely linked with the life of the neighbourhood. As part of the restoration programme, we were asked, together with the artist Marino di Teana, to undertake a commission for the monumental bronze door and the rose window in the west wall. The work bears a load of 300 kilos of heat-formed glass 25 mm thick, measuring 5.20 in diameter and weighing 600 kilos in bronze and copper.

Architect: S. MANCIULESCU
